Tapestry:Memories of a Birch Tree being woven at the Joshua Creek Heritage Art Centre. Inspired in a bark from a Birch Tree, this large scale tapestry has more than 40 different types of materials, including natural fibres such as wool, silk, linen, cotton; raffia, bamboo, yute, metallic threads and ribbons and synthetic fibres. It was woven in 9 months with 3 assistant weavers thanks to the support of the Ontario Arts Council Mid Career Grant.
